Kubu Elsa is a charming and peaceful homestay style hotel, just a short walk from the dolphin statue and Lovina beach. Tucked away down a short side street, Kubu Elsa provides a relaxing retreat that oozes traditional Balinese charm.
The rooms are clean and beautifully renovated with modern bathrooms and good amenities. Rooms don't have their own refrigerator however, there is a large shared refrigerator in the dining area for guests to use.
The pool area is surrounded by rock walls and Balinese gardens, and is perfect for relaxing. With only around 10 rooms, it is never overly crowded.
We found Komang, the manager, incredibly helpful. He offered great local tips and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. He was able to organise boat rides, tours and even a bucket of ice for our drinks on the boat. Breakfast was simple but tasty and served in the open air restaurant area each day.
Kubu Elsa is a fantastic choice if you're looking for peace and quiet that is close to everything Lovina has to offer.
